Merry Christmas

Image
As I will soon be starting the pre-Christmas duties of cleaning up and cooking around here before the extended family adventures start, I decided to share my good tidings of great joy to everyone a few days early. May your Christmas be one of awe and wonder at the knowledge of one tiny baby boy who was born. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (The Message Bible) Merry Christmas!

Finished!!

Somehow, by some crazy Christmas miracle - the Old Testament homework and the Old Testament research paper are now complete! In just one more hour I will be on my way to my last class of this semester. Sad to see it end, as it was a great class, and I really learned an amazing amount about the Old Testament. But for some reason - be it the work load, or whatever...I was really bogged down this semester. So I've decided to take next semester off. My family sat on the backburner these last 4 months, and that' s just not right. I'm also planning a spring trip with my mom up to the northern part of Michigan, and I can't commit to classtime when I know I won't be here then. I'm sure by March or April I'll be screaming for something...ANYTHING intellectual to wrap my brain around, but until then - consider this student academically free until next September!!

I've started decorating most of the house, actually except for our big Christmas tree missing in the family room, our house is as decorated as it's going to get. My kids ask me daily, "Mom when does the big tree go up?" Gee, I don't know kids, maybe after I'm done with my classwork, housework, momwork...hey! Maybe THEN I'll put it up, and if you're lucky it will be before the New Year! I'm not completely overwhelmed yet...in my head I know that I will get it all done. I'm not sure how, but I will get it done. Lots of late nights, and early mornings will get me through to when I hand in all assignments and research paper on the 18th, appropriate Christmas shopping will be done, and out-of-town gifts sent in the mail...and to top it off, we are now hosting Christmas dinner at our
